GORVIA H308A is a one component, room temperature vulcanizing gaske compound designed to provide reliable “formed-in-place” gaskets for mechanical assemblies. This material cures on exposure to moisture in theair to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. The product resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.

2. Typical applications
a) Oil pans
b) Transmission case
c) Automotive intake manifolds
d) Replace pre-formed gasket, improve the high temperature sealing between metal and gasket
e) Sealing for general mechanical equipment
3. Method of application
For assembly form-in-place gasket
a) For best results, Remove all previous material from mating surfaces. Clean and dry all surfaces.
b) Cut nozzle to desired bead size, 1/16 “ to 1/4 “ in diameter. An 1/8” bead is usually sufficient for most applications.
c) Remove cap, puncture tube or cartridge seal and attach extension nozzle.
d) Apply a continuous and even bead of silicone to one surface, first tracing the internal areas of the gasket configuration, then all surrounding bolt holes as shown below.
e) Assemble parts immediately while silicone is still wet. Secure or tighten to recommended torque specs.
f) Re-torque will not be necessary after the product has cured.
For assembly as a gasket dressing
a) Repeat steps 1 through 3 as in previous section.
b) Apply a thin film of silicone to one surface to be sealed.
c) Place the pre-cut gasket onto silicone film.
d) Apply a second thin film to pre-cut gasket surface.
e) Remove any excess and assemble parts immediately.
Note: Product is not recommended for use as a cylinder head gasket or head gasket sealant.
For Cleanup
a) Remove uncured product from parts with Cleaners. If skinned over, break film with a dry cloth to remove as much as possible.
b) Clean hands with a dry cloth.
4. Cautions
a) Ensure ventilation during construction.
b) Avoid the uncured adhesive contact with the skin for a long time.
c) If accidentally splashed into the eyes, should be quickly rinsed with a large amount of water and seek medical treatment.
d) Don’t use for the alkaline materials such as marble, granite etc.
e) Don’t use for the hide and semi-hide curtain wall and installation of coated glass by metal.
f) Stay away from children.
